Description
This 56-page booklet was published in celebration of the Carpatho-Rusyn Research Center’s 25 years of research and educational activity – activity initially addressing descendants of Carpatho-Rusyn immigrants from the European Homeland and ultimately serving as a research source for all interested parties internationally – scholars, students, laypeople. A 14-page introduction, entitled “A Short History,” by Paul Robert Magocsi, which outlines the establishment and the work of the Center over 25 years, including its publication of a quarterly newsletter (The Carpatho-Rusyn American, 1978-98) and numerous books, pamphlets, maps. The introduction also lists names and affiliations of organizers and supporters, grantees, and conferences it sponsored. The booklet concludes with 42 messages of congratulations from international scholars and Carpatho-Rusyn activists who were inspired by the Center’s work.
